Spotlight on local produce at festival

Local produce will take centre stage this weekend at the seventh Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival.

As well as numerous producers showcasing their wares there will also be live cookery demonstrations at the Villa Marina today and tomorrow.

The festival's opening hours have also been extended until 9pm tonight - Lucy Verde is from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and explains:

Last year the event attracted over 5,000 visitors who spent more than £110,000 - marketing officer Audrey Fowler says she's hoping this year will be as fruitful:
