A spoof news story about the Island rebranding with gender-neutral pronouns has fooled a number of Manx social media users online.
The Upper Lip, a UK-based comedy news website, published a story claiming the Isle of Man will be known as the Island of They/Them in future to attract LGBT tourists.
Despite being labelled as satire, the joke seems to have escaped a number of people on Facebook and Twitter with a number criticising the suggestion.
One described the move as "woke madness", while another hit out at the government for encouraging what they call "more political correctness".
