Douglas Council says it's hoping to open a new water play area at the end of April after work began this week.
The splash play area in Noble's Park will cost £188,000 after being agreed in the local authority's budget.
Planners gave permission for the new facility last July.
In an update on Facebook the council says contractors began work this week, and the project will take around 10 weeks to complete.
