The government is bringing in a specialist contractor to check part of the airport is safe before drainage works can continue.
Last month workers discovered devices, thought to be from World War Two, containing phosphorous on site at Ronaldsway.
A military bomb disposal team was called in to safely deal with them.
There will be no disruption to flights while the UK contractor is brought over to examine the area in case of further devices.
