Residents in the south face three weeks of disruption due to roadworks starting today.
The carriageway surface will be replaced on the Ballabeg to Colby Road in a bid to improve the 'poor ride quality' - at the same time improvements will be made to drainage and kerbing.
Measures will also be introduced to alert motorists of the need to drive at appropriate speeds through the area especially in the vicinity of Arbory Primary School.
The route will be closed from Cronk y Thatcher to Ronague Road on a rolling basis - bus services will be maintained.
The Department of Infrastructure has thanked people in advance for their 'patience and cooperation' whilst the improvements are carried out.
