Some Manx residents are 'at a financial loss' after being misled by a scam.
That's according to Police, who are warning people to be vigilant and 100% satisfied before sending money to anyone.
Victims are receiving a text message from scammers pretending to be their child, who is in some sort of trouble and needs money.
Any suspicious messages can be reported to the Office for Cyber-Security and Information Assurance at ocsia@gov.im
