Vessel to be Scrapped instead of Sunk at Sea
It’s been decided that the Solway Harvester, which has been docked in Douglas harbour for the past 9 years is to be scrapped on
There is however a further delay that is preventing this from happening, as harbour officials must first wait to see if the vessel is needed as evidence.
The decision to scrap the vessel came after it was deemed there were too many implications, both financial and otherwise in re-sinking it at sea.
