Chief Minister Alf Cannan says the government's hired a social media expert to guide its online PR.
Mr Cannan faced a question for written answer from Central Douglas MHK Chris Thomas about whether government communications needed reviewing.
In response, he said a centralised service had run for 10 years and the government saw it as a priority because of social media.
And he added a formal review isn't planned - but he wanted to improve government PR over the next year.
