The Department of Social Care says that people with cases of ‘merit’ will have the support of government and charities following Friday's flooding.
The eastern coastline was the worst hit – where Ramsey, Castletown and Douglas were the victims of floods on par with those seen in 2002.
There are already reports of significant water damage to properties and retail outlets, with the emergency services pumping water out buildings well into yesterday evening.
