Paying benefits electronically instead of in cash at post office counters is a sign of the changing times.
That’s according to the Department of Social Care which is looking to introduce a pre-payment card system.
The general secretary of the UK’s National Federation of Sub Postmasters has visited the Island to speak to both the department and the post office.
The idea of changing the payment system has sparked concern amongst politicians with some accusing the department of crippling the social fabric of the Isle of Man.
