The Mountain road, shoulder road and the sloc remain closed; however the police say this could change quickly because of snow falling.
Department of infrastructures gritters have been treating road surfaces throughout the night, but areas such as Royal Avenue in Onchan remain very slippery so police warn to drive with care.
The DOI says they've gritted almost 350 miles of the Island's roads in the past 24 hours.
An amber weather warning from theMet office for snow remains in place until 6pm tonight.
Most buses are now running, however some still remain suspended.
And the college is closed - all classes and driving theory tests will not go ahead.
