There's an appeal to motorists to slow down over the Mountain Road this week while essential work takes place.
The Department of Infrastructure says its improving surface water drains at Cronk Ny Mona all week.
Its workers are narrowing lanes as they try to reduce the amount of water flowing across the road surface, which can create hazards in freezing conditions.
The department is asking driver to keep their speed down as they drive through the site.
