The latest report into the government's workforce shows eight people joined the public sector in the first quarter of the year.
The government's Overview of the Public Sector Workforce document says in January there were 4,399 workers, not including Manx Care, while in March that had risen to 4,407.
It shows the Department of Infrastructure shed around 23 jobs, with eight going at the Department for Enterprise and four at the Treasury.
But the Department of Home Affairs took on 30 workers, with six more jobs at the Department of Education, Sport and Culture and Cabinet Office.
