Six months of works in Jurby will start next month to strengthen water supplies in the area.
Manx Utilities is upgrading the water main from Sandygate to Jurby Coast Road, in an effort to support economic growth and deliver essential firefighting needs of the Fire Service.
A new Service Reservoir will also be built, subject to planning permission, which is expected to benefit around 500 properties as well as the Prison and Jurby Industrial Estate.
The £2.9 million project will start on February 6 and be completed in August, with a rolling road closure in place as work goes on.
