Motorists on Island will soon be able to pay for six months’ road tax, if proposals are approved by Tynwald.
Currently, drivers on Island can only pay for vehicle duty for a full year.
The change - approval pending - will see the amount people pay for road tax rise for the first time since April 2020.
It'll also see an introduction of fees for those who own electric vehicles.
Commenting, Infrastructure Minister Chris Thomas said he's 'sure six-month payments will be welcomed by many on Island.'
He also revealed teams are working towards introducing direct debits as an additional payment option.
Vehicle duty rates are planned to rise by 10 per cent from April 2023, with the minimum annual charge to be £65.
