Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall says he'll reconsider the administration charge on six-monthly car tax later this year.
In the House of Keys today, he faced questions from Arbory, Malew and Castletown MHK Jason Moorhouse about why it was more expensive to tax a car in two payments than one.
Mr Crookall said the extra money covered extra administrative costs.
But he said he'd look at the extra charges when the DOI considers raising vehicle tax next year:
