A major befriending scheme which was launched on the Isle of Man is set to be rolled out across the UK next month.
The Silver Line was piloted on the Island to serve as an advice helpline for the older population.
After also proving a success in Manchester the helpline will be launched nationwide on the 25th of November following a £5 million grant from the BIG Lottery Fund.
