A sidecar racer who died during this year’s TT festival will make his final lap of the Mountain Course today.
A memorial lap to celebrate the life of 27-year-old Dwight Beare will leave The Grandstand at 12pm.
The Australian rider, who lived in Onchan, died during the first Sidecar Race on June 4th after a crash at the 16th Milestone.
The procession will be followed by a memorial service at St Ninian’s Church in Douglas – there will also be a memorial service in Australia at a later date.
A post on Facebook says Dwight would have wanted people to take the “belief to chase your own dreams and live life to the fullest” from this sad situation.
