The amount of sick pay being paid out has fallen by almost £75,000 in the past three years.
In the House of Keys this week Douglas North MHK David Ashford asked Treasury Minister Alf Cannan how much incapacity benefit for short term sickness absence was paid out in the last three years.
Mr Cannan revealed in 2014 just under £696,000 was paid out, in 2015 that figure fell to £665,000.
However, figures stood at their lowest yet in 2016 - when £621,000 was paid out in total.
