Should the Isle of Man give the film industry £20 million?
A petition for redress of grievance from former Christian filmmaker and pastor James George Hargreaves says the government overreacted when it scrapped film funding after a committee found we'd lost £26 million investing in the industry.
Now, Douglas North MHK David Ashford will ask Tynwald to set up a committee to consider the suggestion.
Mr Hargreaves - who wrote Sinitta's 1986 hit So Macho, founded the UK's Christian Party and stood for election in the UK for the Referendum Party - says the fund would support printing film posters and editing trailers on the Isle of Man.
