A petition seeking restrictions on firework displays will be discussed at this month's Tynwald sitting.
It calls for a ban in urban areas on the Island and for silent displays elsewhere.
It comes following some members of the public calling for the sale of them to be prohibited, after some animals have been badly affected by displays.
David Cretney MLC is bringing the matter before Island politicians at the sitting, which will take place on Tuesday, February 18 from 10.30am.
