Should candidates in elections have to publish their business interests before people vote for them?
That's one of the suggestions in a new consultation about local and national elections as the government considers changing the law.
Other suggestions include pre-election meetings organised by the Cabinet Office for candidates, and changes to postal votes which would speed up counts on election days.
