The Isle of Man Ship Registry grew at twice the rate of the world’s fleet during 2013 – growing by 7.4 per cent in tonnage terms.
Shipping service Clarkson’s has revealed that the Island has moved into 14th place in the table of world registers, placing it ahead of Germany for the first time.
The Department of Economic Development says it’s delighted with the growth and success which will benefit the Island’s economy.
