Shingles vaccine available for elderly people from today

People aged between 70 and 79 are urged to sign up for vaccinations to ward off a very painful condition.

From today, pensioners will be able to get the shingles vaccine.
 
Although not a life threatening, illness it can be a very debilitating condition which sees the spread of a painful rash that eventually develops into itchy blisters.
 
Public Health nurse Jacqui Dunne says the jab will protect you against a host of nasty ailments:
