The Island's Home Affairs minister says a review of the law governing sex offences is due to be carried out in the near future.
In Tynwald, Jane Poole-Wilson faced questions about the Sexual Offences and Obscene Publications Act, which came into force last year.
She said she was aware of public concern about sentences given to some sex offenders, saying historical offences still fell under previous legislation.
And she added a review of how well the new law is working would start soon:
