The MUA is carrying out essential work on a sewer at the junction of Broadway and Victoria Road until Saturday.
Temporary traffic lights are in place from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day.
The authority says that may cause some problems with traffic congestion, and has apologised for the disruption.
