A Liverpool man who got caught trying to bring a quarter of a million pounds worth of cannabis to the Isle of Man will be sentenced in November.
50-year-old Alex Conner was stopped at the Sea Terminal in Douglas on June 17th after disembarking the Manannan.
A subsequent search of his van turned up 20kilograms of cannabis hidden in a secret compartment.
The Huyton man later pleaded guilty to two counts of production of cannabis and two counts of possession of the Class B drug with intent to supply.
At Douglas Courthouse last week he was told he will be sentenced on September 20th - social enquiry reports have been requested.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison.
