Snaefell Suffers Same Crankshaft Issue as Manannan
The Steam Packet’s operational vessels have taken another hit with a second fast craft reporting engine problems.
The Manannan has been operating at reduced speed throughout July due to an issue with the crankshaft in one of its four engines.
Now the Snaefell is experiencing the same issue meaning that it’s scheduled crossings to Liverpool today and tomorrow have been covered by the Manannan whilst the issue is taken care of.
The Snaefell will still operate the two Dublin and Belfast sailings however.
It’s hoped that the repairs will be made swiftly with minimal service disruption.
