Second Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit To Ease Pressure On Nobles

The Department of Health has given the go ahead for the installation of the Island’s second Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit.

The Department of Health has given the go ahead for the installation of the Island’s second Renal Dialysis Satellite Unit.

The Unit will provide essential care for the 1,300 patients who require it year on year.

It will also considerably ease the pressure on Nobles who upto this point have provided the only facility on the Island with space running out fast.

The new unit will have four dialysis stations, which it is hoped will be expanded to six over time; this will bring the total number of stations on the Island up from seven to 13.

Health Minister David Anderson said he is pleased to give this scheme the go ahead as it will relieve some of the pressures that this demanding service is experiencing.
