The Department of Infrastructure says it needs to close the Mountain Road tonight as it resurfaces more than 200 metres.
The route shut for much of yesterday for a cleanup operation after contractors spilled bitumen between Brandywell and the Bungalow.
The department says it'll close the road from Creg Ny Baa to the Bungalow from 6pm until no later than 6pm tomorrow.
On Facebook, it says it's suspending roadworks in Santon to make sure the work is finished on time.
