Police are warning people to bee-have after reports hives in Castletown were tampered with.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says the incident happened this week near the Ocean Ford garage in Douglas Road.
Officers say interfering with the hives can mean a death sentence for the insects, and bees can't be imported to the Isle of Man to replace them.
They add security measures are now in place, and they're appealing for anyone with any information to contact Castletown Police Station.
