A hero search and rescue dog has died, aged 9.
The Search and Rescue Dog Association Isle of Man shared the news on Facebook saying its 'teammate and loyal companion', Ruby, had sadly suffered a large seizure.
Ruby contributed to searches in both the Isle of Man and UK and responded to over 60 callouts, successfully rescuing several missing people.
Described as having an infectious love of people, the charity says Ruby had a huge impact on everyone who met her and the Island has lost a valuable and incredible search dog.
