A restaurant in the south of the Island could be transformed to produce Manx sea salt - if planners give the green light.
Helen Crosbie of the Isle of Man Salt Co. in Port St Mary has applied to convert part of the former Boathouse on Queens Road.
In her application, she says part of the building would be used to produce salt by evaporating seawater.
And the rest of the building would become a shop and café under the proposals.
