If you're wondering whether your wrapping paper can be recycled, Douglas council says you should take matters into your own hands.
The local authority says people can do the scrunch test to see if paper goes in the bin or in their recycling boxes.
Take the wrapping paper and scrunch it up in your fist before opening your fingers - if it stays scrunched up, it's recyclable.
The waste team says they also accept Christmas cards in kerbside boxes as long as they don't have ribbons, glitter or plastic on them.
