Schools will be able to support parents if they're struggling with the costs of school uniforms.
That's according to Education, Sport & Culture Minister, Dr Alex Allinson, who was quizzed in Tynwald this week by MLC Kate Lord-Brennan.
He was asked with action his department will take to make buying school uniforms and PE kits fair and afforable.
Dr Allinson says the matter has been raised with the Education Council and schools are 'mindful' of the financial burden this can place on families.
He adds parents should also approach their child's headteacher to discuss the matter if they're facing difficulties.
