Minister for Education, Sport and Culture, Graham Cregeen, says renting school halls to sports clubs encourages healthy lifestyles.
In Tynwald this week, Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse asked if clubs could get discounted rates.
Mr Cregeen said halls hired for childrens sporting events are already half priced.
He added prices aren't excessive and are reviewed regularly.
