The Education Minister says a review into school meals will be published in the coming days.
Daphne Caine MHK was asked about the topic by Onchan MHK Julie Edge in the House of Keys.
Mrs Caine was also asked if her department's policy had changed on leftover food being wasted.
She says she does have plans to reduce food waste:
