Fares for school bus services are rising by 10p from today for those using Go School smart travel cards
The government says the change has been made to create extra revenue and support operating costs for the subsidised service.
MHK Jason Moorhouse says whilst he accepts the rise 'does not make welcome news', he added it's designed to reduce the subsidy being carried by taxpayers.
The new fare will get a student to and from school or college for £4 a week.
