Isle of Man schools are taking part in Active Travel Week.
It is to encourage youngsters to walk or cycle to school safely.
During the coming week pupils will be encouraged to choose active travel whenever possible for part, if not all of their journeys.
The government said lessons will also be taught in schools on road safety, bike maintenance and even skateboarding.
Liaison Officer, Breeshey Harkin is hoping it will lead to active travel becoming a "normal and realistic transport choice".
