Financial support could be available for certain businesses who have lost trade following the closure of the Islands air bridge with Guernsey.
The travel corridor between both Crown Dependencies has been suspended with immediate effect after seven active cases of Covid-19 have been identified in Guernsey this week.
When asked what assistance could be available to hospitality businesses which will lose footfall and income as a result of the latest development, Mr Quayle referred to the recently extended Financial Assistance Scheme from the Department for Enterprise.
The initiative is available for broader Travel and Tourism related sectors that derive a significant majority of their revenue from inbound visitors, leisure and business travellers both to and from the Island.
Eligible businesses can apply for up to 50% of residual salaries and overheads, and must be able to demonstrate a reduction in turnover of 25% or more.
