Parents are being warned about a virulent disease which affects young children.
Public Health isle of Man says it's aware of cases of scarlet fever, which produces a rash and a swollen tongue.
The contagion can cause flu-like symptoms, including a high temperature, sore throat and swollen neck glands.
Public Health says parents should keep a close eye on their children if symptoms develop.
