A no-entry safety zone was set up in Ramsey on Saturday after scaffolding fell onto power lines.
The aluminium structure collapsed outside a house on Coburg Road just before 4pm – it was leaning towards the footpath and roadway.
It had come into contact with power lines some of which had snapped and fell to the ground – the remaining ones were in a precarious position approximately 15 to 20 feet from the street.
Emergency services marked the area as a no go zone until the Manx Utilities Authority was able to isolate the power.
