A sculpture created by a British artist has been donated to Manx National Heritage.
Michael Sandle's bronze sculpture, 'A Second World War Memorial' is now on display in the National Art Gallery at the Manx Museum.
The piece is a hypothetical monument to WWII and features the most famous airplane of Bomber Command, a Lancaster.
After having long been on loan to the Manx Museum, the work has now been fully donated as Michael wanted a good home for one of his most important works.
