Firefighters are advising people to make sure their home appliances are safe after a blaze in Douglas this morning.
The Island's Fire and Rescue Service was called out just after 8am when a tumble dryer caught light.
After putting out the fire, an investigation found it had been started by an overloaded socket.
The organisation's advising people to check for frayed or worn cables, unplug appliances when not in use and check you're using the right fuse.
