The Island's Safeguarding Board has published an independent review into self-neglect following the deaths of seven adults on the Isle of Man.
Only one of the cases met the criteria for a Serious Case Management Review, however the Board agreed for six similar cases to be looked at to provide more information.
Self-neglect includes situations where a person isn't addressing their personal hygiene, dietary or health needs, and can include a lack of care for their environment.
The Safeguarding Board is now working with a number of agencies including the Constabulary and Manx Care to implement a training programme for staff on self-neglect and how to handle situations.
You can find the review and any contact information on the Isle of Man Safeguarding Board website.
