An MHK has slammed the Council of Ministers after being sacked from his position in Treasury.
Bill Henderson was removed from the department yesterday after Minister Eddie Teare said he had lost confidence and trust in him.
Mr Henderson says he isn’t surprised at the decision and claims it’s because of his refusal to ‘tow the party line’ when it comes to tuition fees.
He’s strongly against the introduction of them – something he made clear in his manifesto – and says he isn’t prepared to turn his back on the people that voted for him.
The North Douglas MHK says he's not surprised at the action:
