New buses are being introduced to serve rural routes as a way of cost cutting.
The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has taken delivery of two Mercedes Sprinter City buses.
It says the 17-seaters will help to reduce capital and operating costs.
Minister Graham Cregeen says it is the department’s policy to try and minimise these costs before increasing charges to passengers.
