Southern Nomads Rugby Club have received planning approval for their new clubhouse.
The Port Erin team wants to build a new facility at Ballakilley Park.
Spokesperson Neal Kelly says fundraising efforts will now need to be doubled to turn the plans into reality.
He explained while getting permission is a big hurdle to clear, it would still be a long process until they could break ground on the new site.
