Royal Wedding fever hits Manx school children

Hundreds of school children will be in fancy dress today and enjoying parties before the Isle of Man has a bank holiday tomorrow.

With less than a day to go it seems people worldwide have got royal wedding fever.

Final preparations have been taking place to ensure that Prince William and Kate Middleton's big day runs smoothly.

Here on the Island, primary schools are getting behind the Royal Wedding and joining in the celebrations. Hundreds of school children will be in fancy dress today and enjoying parties ahead of the Isle of Man's bank holiday tomorrow.

We found out more about what they have been getting up to from the teachers. (audio above)

Ashley Hill School are having a whole school parade showing off party clothes and crowns, which is open to the public this afternoon.
Ballaquayle School are holding a Royal Wedding Party with children dressed in red, white and blue. The pupils have been arranging the event themselves all week. Foxdale School are tomorrow showing the wedding live to the whole community on a big screen, with a faith lunch, games stalls and music.
