Plans to introduce extra cleaners at Noble's Hospital have been welcomed by the Royal College of Nursing.
The Department of Health has awarded G4S a 12 week trial contract to carry out deep cleaning work - which is common after the outbreak of infection.
It's a decision that's angered the staff union Unite which says it is a duplication of work and something which employees don't want.
However the RCN says the terminal cleans need to be done promptly and the extra resource will ensure that nursing staff and porters can maintain a focus on providing care to patients rather than cleaning.
